About the Journal
Focus and Scope
This journal is intended to publish undergraduate research in all disciplines. The research must be conducted during the undergraduate years at any university, under the guidance of a faculty member. Research performed at UIC or by a UIC undergraduate is preferred. The primary author must be an undergraduate student. Manuscripts may be submitted up to one year after graduation for research conducted during the undergraduate years. Any original research in any field would be eligible for this journal. Honors College Capstone project, Engineering Senior Design projects, English Composition final papers are among, but not limited to, the eligible submissions.
Peer Review Process
Each piece will be reviewed by graduate students or professors in the piece's respective field. Each piece will be read by two reviewers who will be asked to provide feedback on the content of the paper as well as a recommendation as to whether or not the piece should be accepted.
Individual items will be published as soon as they are ready. The piece will be added to the "current" volume's Table of Contents.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
