Boyko Penchev has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Bulgarian literature of Sofia University since 2005. From 1993 to 2008 he worked also as an editor for Literaturen vestnik (a Bulgarian weekly for literature and culture). Since 2001 he has contributed as a guest columnist to Dnevnik (a Bulgarian daily newspaper). Boyko Penchev is the author of three scholarly books on the history of Bulgarian literature and culture as well as two books of poems.
