Author Biography

Matilde Amaturo

 Matilde Amaturo graduated in iconology and iconography at the University of Rome La Sapienza. She has been an art historian in the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities since 1990. Since 2009 she has been the director of the Hendrik Andersen museum, where she curated several exhibitions. From 2010 to 2013 she organised several events with contemporary artists: Lucia Romualdi, Mikhail Koulakov, Liu Bolin, Louis Alders, Hannu Palosuo, Claudia Peill, and Kaisu Koivisto. She has published many articles and essays. From 2007 through 2013 she was a professor in the master's program in Communication Theory and Techniques of aesthetic and museal communication at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome.
