What next for Internet journals? Implications of the trend towards paid placement in search engines
AbstractFree online journals have long had a difficult time surviving on the Internet. One method of article discovery for these publications has been through the use of Internet search engines. Will these journals and other non-profit organizations be lost in the Internet's black hole with the advent of paid placement, inclusion, and submission?
