  • JBC: Open for Article Submissions

    2016-06-09

The Journal of Biocommunication is now accepting manuscripts for reveiw and publication. We publish a wide range of subject matter relating to the field of biomedical communication. Included are articles relating to visualization in medicine, medical and scientific photography, natural science photography, scientific imaging techniques, diagnostic imaging and DICOM manipulation, and many other related topics.

We also will consider other content such as Book Reviews, Perspectives, Viewpoints, Showcases, and Galleries that serve to advance our knowledge base. The JBC's goal is to enhance both the visibility and shareability of this content.

The JBC is a nonprofit (501c3) organization governed by the Journal Management Board. The new Journal has partnered with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) University Library in order to make the JBC available openly to the scholarly community worldwide.

  • Journal of Biocommunication's "Archives" and "Legacy Issues" Sections

    2016-03-14

The Journal of Biocommunication's "Archives" link found in the navigation bar reveals those JBC issues currently being housed under UIC's Open Journal System. As we have only the current issue (JBC 40-1) currently available under UIC's system so far, only one entry is listed there. Other JBC issues will be added to the "Archives" througout the year as they are publihsed.

The "Legacy Issues" in the navigation bar refer to those existing online issues for JBC Volume years 29 through 39. Those issues were not published under any current licensing or open access agreements, and will remain at our legacy site:  www.jbiocommunication.org
